I recently hosted an event at the Victoria Marriott and I wanted to send along my congratulations. This was one of my best experiences with a hotel. The staff were lovely from reception to the concierge to the service staff. My special commendations go to Stefan and his team in catering/banquets. He was extremely helpful and did a great job of providing excellent service to my attendees.
It was indeed a triumph, due in no small part to the excellence of our accommodational arrangements! As a chaperone, it was great to know that everything had been so professionally-handled by yourself and the rest of your staff. The rooms shone; the waitstaff smiled; the bellmen sparkled with loveliness, and your front desk staff handled our massed checking-in and -out with diplomacy and aplomb. As a former SuperHost and Front Desk Agent courses intructor, I was impressed by the quality of the people you have and the training they have been given - well done!
We will be sure to recommend your facility to all who ask!

The meetings went really well and the hotel meeting staff were fantastic. They addressed all of my needs professionally and promptly so please pass on my thanks.
The attendees have had several meetings at the hotel so I think that says a lot about how they feel about the meeting facilities and accommodation. I have not heard anything directly from any of them but I am sure that we will continue to utilize this great facility.

I would like to congratulate you and your entire team for an outstanding event. Feedback from all who attended was this was the best Christmas party we've had in 25 years! Please pass on my thanks and compliments to your staff. From the initial meeting with Tamara and Chef until the end of the party, we were made to feel very comfortable and in capable hands. Every detail was attended to.
The food was too good to describe with words. I knew Chef Neil was talented but I've never been to a buffet where absolutely everything was delicious. The only complaint from staff was that they couldn't possibly eat enough to sample every dish Chef prepared! Service was exceptional and I'm embarrassed that I can't remember the names of the gentleman and the two ladies helping him supervise. They seemed to be everywhere at once and the evening flowed very smoothly.
It's important to me that my staff be rewarded for their hard work with the annual Christmas party. Your team couldn't have done more to ensure they had a great night and you made me into a hero.We look forward to next year's party at the Marriott. Contact me anytime to confirm dates and deposits can be done anytime in the new year. If it should ever be possible, the following weekend (first Saturday in December) would be much better for us but we understand that date is in high demand. Hopefully at some point in the future we can secure that weekend.

This was the best Long Service Award Reception we've had! The food was amazing, I especially loved the lamb meat balls, the service was great, and the room was perfect! The attendees all told me they enjoyed their stay at the hotel. I'm glad you convinced me to try out the Marriott! It was a successful event and we will be looking to have more events at your hotel!

I have been happily remembering the wonderful atmosphere and the delicious food in the Marriott's private dining room on the 16th floor. Looking out at the Parliament Buildings outlined with lights made me feel like a child at Christmas. The servers were perfectly attuned to their guests - never interrupting a conversation yet ensuring that each one of us was enjoying our wine (the red that I was drinking was gorgeous - do you happen to know what it was?) and our hors d'oeuvres. I had the good fortune of talking to Her Honour Judith Guichon in the company of Harry and Tania and what I remember most is our laughter and my feeling of wellbeing.
Some of the conversations were one to one and some of the conversations involved the whole table. There was an ease to the whole evening. The courses were delicious: the seafood soup was ambrosial, the second course was my favourite, the lamb was perfectly prepared and the dessert was divine.
Luckily I attended the concert both Saturday night and Sunday afternoon because a part of me was enveloped in the hospitality on the 16th floor during the Saturday night concert. Hearing the concert again on Sunday allowed me to more fully appreciate the power of the music.
Your team and your executive Chef David provided an astounding feast last Saturday when the board of the Victoria Symphony hosted the Lieutenant Governor and a few of our largest donors. Thanks again for outstanding food and service.

A special shout out to Jan, Sean, and Jason for being so helpful at check-in. Your hotel has the kindest staff and is one of the reasons we chose the Victoria Marriott for our family and friends to stay here. I don't think I told you this before, but I was invited to the staff holiday party in January and stopped by the great Hollywood party downstairs! That's how fun and inclusive the staff is at the Marriott! It comes so naturally to everyone.

How can one be homesick after only visiting somewhere for 4 days? Apparently it is possible when the city is warm, beautiful and vibrant and the people surrounding you during your time there mirror those same elements.
This Victoria FAM was by far the best FAM I have ever been on. You really showcased the best your city has to offer. You treated us like VIPs when we came to your beautiful hotel for breakfast and the work that goes on behind the scene to make that happen did not go unnoticed by me. You were so kind to order me my own hash-browns without meat. It's little touches like that that go a long way. If you take good care of me, I know you will do the same for my delegates and that really puts my mind at ease.
Anyways, myself and Chriss have fallen in love with your city (we are currently thinking of coming back on a personal vacation later this year, not together but we're both taking separate vacations there) and we hope our delegates will fall in love with the city too. Rest assured that we will be pushing Victoria to our program committee as a future destination for CCME 2019 or a smaller meeting in the near future.
A million thank yous for opening my eyes to what the West has to offer- including your ridiculous top floor view!

I write to you today to express my appreciation and thanks on behalf 225 Delegates, Alternates, spouses, and children that attended our 17th National Convention, June 16th to 28th, 2013. As the National Secretary-Treasurer of a national association, I have spent many a day and night in hotels across this country of ours, and beyond.
The best way to described the TEAM at the Marriott Victoria, simply put, is to say "if it ain't broke, don't fix it".
I think the most impressive aspects of the team at the Marriott is not the fact that they respond to requests or inquiries from guests, it is that they anticipate what you may ask, or what you may need before you ask ! That fact in itself is impressive, but what really puts the team over the top is the fact that they do it without hesitation, they do it readily and with genuine enthusiasm. To a person, the members of my team all spoke about the attentiveness, the kindness, and absolute professionalism of each and every member of the Marriott team.
To a person, from Janie Wong and Tamara Olsen in Reservations and Catering, to Sean and Clayton in the Lobby, to Louis Tremblay and Michael Falez working the Lobby Concierge desk. Vanessa, Krista, and Eduardo at check in, Todd and Amy in the Concierge Lounge, Janine our room attendant, the Engineering folks that figured out a way to hang our banner, Tara and Miki, looking after our Terrace meeting room requirements. The entire team of talented Chefs and servers that prepared our meals and made sure we wanted for nothing. They all, including those that I forget their names, did a fantastic job and they never gave us the impression that as the guest, we should feel lucky or privileged that they assisted us. In fact, it was exactly the opposite, they truly gave you the sense that they could not do enough for you and that is extremely rare in today's Hotel and Hospitality industry.
In closing, from the Association of Postal Officials of Canada, on behalf of your team, please accept our heartfelt thanks and gratitude for making this National Convention the one that all others will be compared to. As I said in my opening, "if it ain't broke don't fix it".
